Together with Prof. Matt Hartings at American University, Jillian recently had a chance to highlight some exciting work from Maraia Ener, Harry Gray and Jay Winkler describing the role of tryptophan residues in mediating multi-step electron tunneling (hopping!) in engineered cytochrome P450 variants.
