Chris, Dan and Tao’s paper, titled ‘Excited-State Proton-Coupled Electron Transfer: Different Avenues for Promoting Proton/Electron Movement with Solar Photons,’ was accepted to ACS Energy Letters. This review discusses recent developments in excited-state proton-coupled electron transfer!

Katherine, Noémie and Banu’s paper, titled ‘Applications of electrochemical and spectroscopic methods for evaluating molecular electrocatalysts,’ was accepted to Nature Reviews Chemistry. This review discusses electrochemical and spectroscopic tools for evaluating kinetics and mechanisms for molecular catalysts for electrochemical reactions, and presents case studies for each technique discussed.

Jillian was recently awarded the J. Carlyle Sitterson Award for Teaching First-Year Students in recognition for her instruction of Chemistry 101 over the last three years. She is very grateful for all of her former students who supported her nomination! On Tuesday January 31, she was honored at halftime of the UNC-Pitt Men’s Basketball game with the other teaching award recipients.
